Yuri Foreman VS Miguel Cotto

I really didn't know that the Yuri Foreman-Miguel Cotto fight was goin' down 'till I saw the fight before the main event.

In all honesty, I didn't give a rat's ass about all the undercards. I just wanted to see how Cotto would fare at super-welterweight(his true weight class) after Pacman demolished him at welterweight. Plus I'm also curious as to how the taller Foreman would match up stylistically because I'm still kinda' in the dark with regards to his fighting style.

In all fairness, Foreman was pretty good. In fact, he was better than pretty good. He was actually picking Cotto apart for a couple of rounds. He was quick for his size, with impressive footwork to boot!

Unfortunately, Foreman slipped and somehow sprained his ankle in the 7th. His knee was sorta' damaged to begin with because he was already wearing this knee brace for the fight. So the pitiful Foreman hobbled miserably while the rejuvenated Cotto just capitalized.

In round 8, Cotto just continued to brutalize the limping Foreman, which prompted Yuri's corner to throw in the towel(the 1st I've seen since Apollo Creed's corner threw in the towel during the Ivan Drago fight).

But there was no quit in Foreman. Just as we thought the fight was about to end, it resumed because Foreman said so! Unfortunately, the fight was stopped by the referee in round number 9.

End result: Cotto via TKO(referee stoppage)
